Lingual Arch SLM
The lingual arch manufactured using SLM (Selective Laser Melting) technology is an individually designed orthodontic component intended for precise control of tooth position and stable anchorage. Metal laser sintering allows for a homogeneous material structure and accurate adaptation of the appliance to the patient’s anatomical conditions.
Digital design of the SLM lingual arch
The lingual arch is designed based on intraoral scans provided by the treating orthodontist. Digital CAD workflow enables individual adjustment of the arch shape, path and contact areas with teeth, taking into account planned orthodontic movements and biomechanical requirements of treatment.
SLM metal sintering technology
The lingual arch is produced using selective laser melting (SLM), a process based on layer-by-layer fusion of metal powder using a high-energy laser. This technology provides excellent dimensional accuracy, mechanical stability and repeatability, eliminating limitations associated with conventional bending and soldering techniques.
Clinical application
The SLM lingual arch is indicated in orthodontic treatments requiring precise tooth position control and reliable anchorage. Individual adaptation of the appliance improves clinical handling and reduces the need for chairside adjustments during appliance placement.
